The Tale of Sir Cutter McMain Part V

Twas’nt till 3 years after ‘is disappearance that Sir Cutter was eard from again. It seems ‘e was

Marooned on the shores of the Realms. ‘Is ship was taken by the dread Pirate Barbarosa.’E

decided to do a bit o searchin to find some sign of people or towns. That is when ‘e came upon

the Kingdom of Pyriden  and Baron Richard of Pyriden. ‘E chose to enter the lists at the

Tournaments of Pyriden. ‘E not only placed high in the lists but was named most honorable

Fighter at the Tourney and won the coveted 1st prize,” The Sword of Champions”, an

Artifact Relic from the Dark Ages of the realms. Twas a great prize indeed, but it had a terrible

Bane. The sword’s powers were powerful indeed. The sword had the power to pierce any armor

or shield. Once the sword touched any armor shield or weapons that weapon armor or shield was

destroyed! If and when the sword touched flesh the person was instantly killed! A mighty weapon!

But the Bane too was powerful and terrible. Once the sword was drawn from the scabbard an Evil

Terrible Necromancer Litch was summoned. THE SHADOWLORD!

Sir Cutter decided that the Sword of Champions must only be used when really needed.

The wrath of the SHADOWLORD must not be taken lightly! So Sir Cutter had gotten ‘imself

into another fix ‘e ‘ad. But Sir Cutter took up the challenge.

These were the Middle Ages of the Realms, the Golden Years. An age of high chivalry and

bravery. Many quests untried and unfinished. New Kingdoms coming into there own. But the

whole of the Realms then was still under one flag and owed allegiance to the Great kingdom of

VALEHAVEN.

The Tale of Sir Cutter McMain Part VI

It was also at this Tourney that Sir Cutter met the infamous BS Eurbakka. At the tourney

BS ‘ad also entered the lists. Cutter asked where BS ‘ailed from. BS said ‘e was a ship captain prior

to his arrival in the land of the Realms. ‘E ‘ad also said ‘is real name was BS Freebooter a Pirate

mercenary originally from Unistella, but now sailin the waters off Corsica and Tang-Hua.’E said

that ‘e ‘ad heard of Cutter in pubs and taverns of Corsica and Tang-Hua. They hit it off they did

and that began a long friendship between the two. At the lists they acted quite differently though.

While Cutter was the Chivalric, really honorable type, BS used every opportunity to ‘is advantage.

Lady Corwin was to learn this right away. BS beat ‘er several times in the lists by usin’ the rules to

‘is advantage. ‘E also distracted ‘er several times in order to strike successful palpable hits. Cutter

stood by and watched with amusement. BS was a pirate alright!

No matter their styles they both felt the Sea in their veins and longed for a crisp wind,

and a good ship. At this Tourney Cutter and BS were also to meet the future Emperor of Tang-Hua

StoneDragon. StoneDragon ‘ad come to this Tourney to prove ‘imself and to confront Sir Richard,

The Baron of Pyriden. ‘E and the Baron ‘ad a fallin' out they did and StoneDragon wanted to challenge

the Baron to a tourney fight with daggers. But several people stepped up and said they would second

the Baron and even offered to fight StoneDragon first to see if ‘is cause be worthy of the Baron. These

people were Prince Robert of Valehaven, Sir Cutter, And BS Eurbakka. Prince Robert requested to

go first and all agreed. It was close but Prince Bob was the Victor. One by one both Cutter and BS

also faced StoneDragon and barely won. StoneDragon seeing that his course might be abit askew

honorably stepped down from the challenge. ‘E proved that day that ‘e was capable of great courage

and great honor. Although ‘e ‘ad not defeated the Baron ‘e ‘ad ‘is respect and admiration. In later

years this would make a bond between the Kingdoms of Pyriden and Tang-Hua.
